Who we are, and what this covers

M-LAB ("we", "us") sells replacement end caps for camp chairs from El Dorado Hills, CA. These terms cover buying from mlabedh.com and using this site. If you buy through Etsy or Amazon instead, that marketplace's terms govern the sale and ours do not.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not order. We may update them; the version that binds is whichever was published on the day you ordered.

What we sell

One product line: replacement bungee end caps for camp chairs, in 8 sizes from 8 mm to 15 mm. Size is the chair tube's inside diameter. Each pack holds 4 caps, all one size, at $15.97 a pack.

The caps are engineered in the USA in a better performing material, and are engineered to last longer than the original. They are a replacement part for a folding camp chair and nothing else. Do not use them anywhere a failure could cause injury, or anywhere a load-rated component is required.

Fit is measured, not guessed

We do not publish a list of chair makes and models, and we will not confirm that a cap fits a named chair. Fit is decided by one number: the inside diameter of your chair tube. Measuring it is your responsibility.

Everything you need is free and on this site — three ways to find your size and a printable actual-size gauge. Tube sizes vary between makes, and a tube that has been in use is usually a little out of round, so a reading rarely lands exactly on a size. Between two sizes, choose the smaller.

If you measure wrong we will still put it right — see returns below. We would just rather you measured once.

Orders and payment

Placing an order

Adding a size to your order is not a purchase. The contract forms when you complete checkout on Stripe and we confirm the order. We may decline or cancel an order and refund it in full if an item is out of stock, if the price or description was wrong, or if we suspect fraud.

Prices

Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where it applies. We may change prices at any time; the price that binds is the one shown when you check out. If an obvious pricing error slips through we will contact you before charging, rather than quietly cancel.

Payment

Payment is processed by Stripe. We never receive your full card number. Discount and trade codes are subject to whatever conditions are set on the code, including any minimum order value, and may be withdrawn at any time.

Shipping

Checkout ships within the United States only, and US shipping is free. Orders placed on a working day go out the next working day at the latest; weekend orders go out Monday. Carriage is USPS Ground Advantage, typically two to five business days depending on how far you are from California.

Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not responsible for carrier delays once a parcel is handed over. Risk passes to you on delivery.

We will ship outside the US, just not through the checkout, because postage varies too much by destination to flatten into one rate. Email us for a quote. Customs duty and import tax are yours.

Returns and replacements

The full policy is on shipping & returns. In short, and for thirty days from delivery:

• Ordered the wrong size — tell us the size you actually need and we will send it free. Keep the first pack; posting a few grams of plastic back costs more than the caps are worth.
• Damaged, missing or not what you ordered — a replacement goes out, with nothing to send back.
• Changed your mind — email us and we will refund it. Unopened packs are straightforward; return postage is yours.

Past thirty days, get in touch anyway. If a cap has failed in normal use we want to know about it, because that is the whole reason this product exists.

Warranty, and its limits

We warrant that the caps will be free from defects in material and workmanship in normal use for thirty days from delivery. Our entire obligation under that warranty is to replace the caps or refund what you paid for them, at our choice.

It does not cover:

• Ordinary wear, or a cap that has reached the end of its life
• A cap forced onto a tube it does not fit, or modified, trimmed or reshaped
• Damage from misuse or accident, or use in anything other than a camp chair
• The rest of your chair — the fabric, the frame or the shock cord

Beyond that warranty, and so far as the law allows, the caps are supplied as is and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow those exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

So far as the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to your order or your use of this site will not exceed what you paid for the caps in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including damage to a chair, loss of use, or lost time.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Using this site

Use the site to find your size and buy caps. Please do not attempt to break it, scrape it wholesale, misuse the contact form, or use it for anything unlawful.

The printable gauge

The measuring guide is free to download, print and pass on as-is for finding a size. Do not sell it, and do not alter or re-scale it — it prints at actual size, and a rescaled copy will hand somebody the wrong answer.

Everything else

The site's text, drawings, photographs and the M-LAB name and logo belong to us, as does the cap design. You may not reproduce them commercially, or copy the product, without our written permission.

Trade and wholesale

Stockists are welcome, but wholesale is not sold through this checkout. Get in touch and we will agree terms in writing — minimum order, lead time, payment terms and freight — which then govern that relationship alongside these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving El Dorado County, California, and we each consent to those courts. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

Before any of that, please just email us. Almost everything that goes wrong is a wrong size, and a wrong size takes one message to fix.
